One of the most common questions we hear is, “How do I actually use my GuaSha tool?”
If you’ve recently added the LumaContour Ceramic GuaSha Massager to your beauty routine—or you’re just curious—this guide is for you.
Today we’ll walk through simple ways to use it on your face, neck, calves, and legs. You’ll also find a video demonstration you can follow along with, so you can see exactly how it works in real life.
1. Face & Neck Massage
STEP 1- SKIN PREP
Apply your favorite oil, serum, or cream evenly over your face and neck. This step helps the Gua Sha glide smoothly over your skin, allowing you to enjoy maximum benefits without irritation.
STEP 2- NECK MASSAGE
Using the petal-shaped tips, gently sweep from under the ears toward the collarbone. Repeat about 10 times on each side. This motion cools and relaxes the lymphatic areas around the neck, helping eliminate toxins and reduce facial puffiness naturally.
STEP 3- JAWLINE CONTOURING
Place the petal tip on your jaw muscles and gently sweep in circular motions along the jawline. Repeat about 10 times on each side to define the jawline and relax the jaw muscles.
STEP 4- FACE CONTOURING
Start at the area around your mouth, sweep upward along the cheekbones and cheek line, then gently glide down from under the ears to the collarbone. Repeat about 10 times on each side to contour the face and create a natural lifting effect.
STEP 5- EAR MASSAGE
Fit the Gua Sha around the ears and gently rotate the petal tips to apply light pressure. This releases tension around the ears and eases fatigue in the facial and neck muscles.
STEP 6- TEMPLES & SCALP MASSAGE
Begin at the temples and sweep the petal tips gently up to the scalp, following the direction of your hair growth. This relieves tension in the scalp and reduces overall fatigue in the head and face.
2. Calf & Leg Massage
Long days on your feet—or sitting at a desk—can leave your legs feeling heavy and tired. The LumaContour GuaSha is a simple way to bring relief.
